Announcement 1: CAUTION TO PUBLIC:-It has come to the notice of BGCL that fake letter (by using BGCL logo) is being issued regarding payment of Application fees/Selection/Appointment, etc of “CNG Pump Retail Outlet” by some dubious & unscrupulous agency/individual. This is to inform that BGCL does not have any connection whatsoever with any such fraudulent agencies/individual issuing such communications/letters. Announcement 2: The public is hereby cautioned that not to fall prey to the fraudulent agencies/ individual, communicating through fake and fabricated websites/emails, letters, etc. BGCL shall not be responsible for any loss or damage suffered by anyone, directly or indirectly, while dealing with any such dubious and unauthorized agencies/individual. Announcement 3: BGCL has not issued any Authority Letter for prior supply of gas to someone at Cng Station. Gas will be filled according to the line as it stands.

Overview

Bengal Gas Company Limited is a joint venture of GAIL (India) Limited and Greater Calcutta Gas Supply Corporation Limited (GCGSCL a company of GoWB), to develop City Gas Distribution (CGD) Network in Kolkata (CGD network in Kolkata city and parts of adjoining districts of North 24 Parganas, South 24 Paraganas, Howrah, Hooghly and Nadia) to cater gas supply to customers in the domestic, transport, and commercial sectors. Kolkata CGD project is a part of prestigious URJA Ganga Pipeline Project.

The transport sector uses natural gas as Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and the domestic, industrial & commercial sectors use it as Piped Natural Gas (PNG).
