Pipeline alongwith meter, valves and regulator will be installed in your house. Once this process is over, you will have uninterrupted supply of safe fuel gas available for your requirements.
Domestic Piped Natural Gas (DPNG) applicants have to pay Rs. 6,354/- per connection as per following: Equipment Security Deposit: Rs. 5,000(Interest-free, fully refundable) Gas Consumption Security Deposit: Rs. 1,000(Interest-free, fully refundable) Registration Fee: Rs. 354(Non-refundable; includes Rs. 300 base fee + Rs. 54 GST) Total Initial Payment:Rs.6,354
2. One Rupee Payment Scheme:The One Rupee Scheme is designed to lower the upfront cost for Domestic Piped Natural Gas (DPNG) applicants. The total initial payment is Rs. 1,354, followed by a nominal daily charge. (i) Initial Payment Breakdown: Gas Consumption Security Deposit: Rs. 1,000(Interest-free and fully refundable) Registration Fee: Rs. 354 (Non-refundable; includes Rs. 300 base fee + Rs. 54 GST) Total Upfront Payable: Rs. 1,354 (ii) Ongoing Charges:Daily Service Fee: Rs. 1 per day will be included in the periodic gas bills. This charge is non-refundable and continues for the entire tenure of the connection.
3. EMI Payment Scheme: The EMI Scheme offers Domestic Piped Natural Gas (DPNG) applicants the flexibility to pay the equipment security deposit over time. While the total commitment is Rs. 6,354, only a portion is required upfront. (i) Upfront Payment (At the time of Application) Gas Consumption Security Deposit: Rs. 1,000(Interest-free and fully refundable) Registration Fee: Rs. 354(Non-refundable; includes Rs. 300 base fee + Rs. 54 GST) Total Upfront Payable: Rs. 1,354 (ii) Deferred Payment (EMI) Equipment Security Deposit: Rs. 5,000 This amount will be collected in instalments via the consumer’s gas bills. It will be charged at Rs. 1,000 per billing cycle for five (05) cycles. This deposit is interest-free and fully refundable upon termination of the connection.No Cash payment is accepted by Bengal Gas Company Limited (BGCL). Beware of fraudulent Practices – Report immediately if any person asks for cash payment.

Currently, there are no charges for non-usage of the DPNG connection. However, if you plan not to use the service for an extended period, it is recommended to opt for Temporary Disconnection. Please note, this service is chargeable.
It is strongly recommended to use a gas stove that is specifically designed for Piped Natural Gas (PNG). To ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with standards, it is advisable to use dedicated high-efficiency PNG stoves that are BIS certified. No other instruments/ accessories are required.
The consumer needs to surrender the subsidized Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) connection under the Public Distribution System , (if any) obtained from Government Oil Company OR keep the subsidized LPG Connection in safe custody OR convert the subsidized LPG Connection to non - subsidized one, within sixty days of obtaining PNG connection from the seller, failing which the Seller shall have absolute right to disconnect the PNG connection provided to the consumer.
In case of breakdown, the same has to be communicated to the Emergency Team who will address the issue promptly. This team is functional 24 x 7. There’s regular patrolling done to avoid any kind of accidents due to leakages.
Yes, the supply is absolutely regular. The pipeline distribution network is based on an on-line supply system that consists of safety valves and regulators that regulate the pressure.

Domestic PNG customers
For any correction or change in address, mobile number, or email ID, an email must be sent to BGCL from the consumer’s registered email ID. In the email, specify the corrections needed along with the relevant details. BGCL will review the request and update the information accordingly. Please note that this service may be on payable basis.
For cases where the connection is technical not feasibility and if the registration and security deposit charges were paid by the consumer, the entire security deposits will be refunded. For regular consumers, the security deposit will be adjusted against the final invoice amount, and any remaining balance will be refunded.
To request for a duplicate invoice:
The payment in Customer Account get reflected after the payment confirmation from your Bank and subsequent updation in respective PNG Customer Account. This may take few days’ time.
Recommended to make online payment through UPIs / pay Bill Section of BGCL website. Such payment are automatically updated in customer Account within 48 hrs.
Once the bill is generated, the invoice is automatically sent to your registered email ID. If you haven't received it, you can download a duplicate invoice by visiting the Bengal Gas official website and login into the "PNG-PRERONA" under "Pay Your Bill" tab or to view the invoice please download the "Swang" Mobile Application from Google Play Store or call our customer care and request for a duplicate copy of the invoice which will be then emailed to your registered Email ID.
You may pay the current invoice. The Credit for shall be adjusted in next bill.
Please confirm that the Registration Fee and Security Deposit as per the scheme of Registration is deposited.
Bengal Gas shall take necessary action to provide connection expeditiously after receipt of Registration Fee and Security Deposit as per the scheme of Registration.
